It's a beautiful sunny day here today so we went to the big park that we went to the other day which was packed this time but my daughter still had a lovely time and saw one of her friends there. Then back at home she played outside with her friends so I took the chance to sit down and get some car insurance quotes. I searched around for the best price ruthlessly.
Firstly I went to moneysavingexpert.com and clicked on their Car Insurance section. They have a bit which lists the best comparison sites. I went on each of these and entered all of my details to get the various quotes from all of the providers.
I then went on the websites of the insurance companies that don't appear on search engines (e.g. Aviva, Direct Line) - they were almost double the price that came up as the cheapest on the comparison websites!
I had to dip into the savings to pay the upfront first price of the car insurance (paying monthly)...which is what the savings are for, but I still felt uneasy using it. Bit of good news though, my brother has managed to secure a temp job for 8 weeks. Obviously will need to find something else after the 8 weeks are up but I'm happy he has managed to get something for now.
Another item up on eBay tonight! I love selling my things xx
That's some good news for your brother. He must be relieved. I hope you got a good price on your insurance. Cars aren't cheap and I don't use mine every day but I couldn't manage without it. X

DeleteIt's a good idea to search for the best car insurance rates. I didn't know that some of the companies that aren't on search engines all the time are more expensive. It's a good thing that you had the extra money to pay for the insurance so that you can now drive your new car.
