Free day out

We had a free day out today! There is a city farm 45 minutes walk from our house which we have never been to.
My daughter loved it - she is a big animal lover. We saw:
New baby calves!
New lambs

There were also peacocks, ducks, geese, chickens, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds. They had a great little park too complete with a big trampoline which was a cause of great excitement!
Trying to find fun things for free with my daughter is a challenge...but one I gladly accept. Anything that makes her happy and stimulated is my priority to find, and if I can do it for free then I am happy too.
We walked there and back, so a total of 1 hour 30 minutes walking. I took my daughter a carrot as a snack on the way - she loves eating them raw - but she asked if we could go into the corner shop we passed to buy her a snack. I said no...and she happily ate her carrot. Would have been so easy to pop in and get her a little snack. Determined to not spend any money.
We made homemade hot chocolate tonight for the first time, it was lovely xx
